AIO Fellows & Researchers
A fellows program to build the next phase of AIO Framework research together. We are recruiting researchers from academia, industry, and civil society.
What fellows do
- Extending AIO 20003 to new domains and designing evaluation methodology
- Drafting RFCs for domain-specific vocabulary extensions
- Designing, writing, and reviewing case studies
- Serving as academic chair of the quarterly consensus meetings
- Presenting AIO's positions at international conferences and policy debates
Six tracks

Fellow is the entry point into AIO. Path: Fellow → Member → Partner → Advisor.
The researchers we are looking for
Researchers in ethics, cognitive science, and AI policy
PhD students, postdocs, and faculty who are familiar with Schwartz's theory of values, Walton's argumentation, and evaluation methodology.
AI developers, MLOps, and AI Safety engineers
Practitioners who have operated guardrail, alignment, and evaluation systems in production, contributing to standardizing AIO Framework adoption.
Clinicians, lawyers, finance professionals, and educators
Extending domain vocabularies and writing case studies. An academic research background is not required.
Commitment, compensation, and term
- Term: 6 or 12 months (renewable)
- Time commitment: at least 4 hours per week (including the quarterly consensus meetings)
- Location: remote-first, with one in-person meeting per quarter (Switzerland, Seoul, or elsewhere).

- Co-authorship: every fellow is credited as a co-author on the RFCs and papers they contribute to.
